ANSONIA – John Ratzenberger, who took Cliff Clavin from Cheers to a household name, will be stumping for Phil Tripp’s bid to become the State Senator for the 17th District which includes Ansonia, Derby, Beacon Falls, Bethany, Hamden and Woodbridge.
Ratzenberger will be at the St. Sebastian Club, 86 Father Salemi Drive from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday. He will pose for pictures and sign autographs.
Aside from acting and providing voices for Pixar movies, Ratzenberger, who lives in Milford, is a proponent for protecting and reviving American manufacturing jobs.
Tripp, the president of Ansonia’s Board of Alderman, is challenging Joseph Crisco, the incumbent who has spent 22 years in the position.
