ANSONIA-DiGiovanni’s Café and Catering became the latest restaurant to open in the downtown during Mayor David Cassetti’s administration.
The restaurant will feature Italian pastry and coffees including Espresso. It will have a breakfast and lunch menu featuring sandwiches, paninis, soup and salad.
It is own by Nick DiGiovanni, who has catered many events at the St. Sebastian’s Club near Holy Rosary church.
“Businesses feed off one another and this is a positive signed that we have a restaurant cluster on Main Street,” said Sheila O’Malley, the city’s economic development director. “When it comes to dining, people like variety and with the addition of DiGiovanni’s, we are offering that to visitors and residents.”
